Pomelo

Pomelo

Citrus pomelo liqueur for bright, refreshing cocktails.

Pomelo is CIRKA’s citrus liqueur. The fruit itself is an ancient ancestor of grapefruit, and in Asian lore it is linked to luck and celebration. CIRKA blends hand picked pomelo and grapefruit with a botanical infused distilled base made from Québec corn, then lightly sweetens it with ethically grown cane sugar. The result is a fresh, citrus forward liqueur that feels at home over ice, in a spritz or in a Paloma.

A citrus Quebec liqueur made for modern cocktails

Pomelo is a new way to pour grapefruit and pomelo into your cocktails without reaching for syrups or artificial flavours. CIRKA blends hand picked pomelo and grapefruit with its botanical infused distilled base made from 100 percent Québec corn, then finishes it with a light touch of ethically grown cane sugar. You get the freshness of citrus, the energy of natural tartness, and a clean sweetness that does not weigh down the drink.

Pomelo stands out as a citrus driven liqueur with crisp grapefruit and pomelo bitterness that stays elegant and refreshing. It is often described as a pure delight that works on ice, in sparkling wine, or in any cocktail that needs a touch of grapefruit or citrus.

Cocktails with Pomelo

Solstice

Solstice is a bright, citrus driven spritz built with Gin Sauvage, Pomelo, rhubarb syrup and lemon, topped with an aperitivo spritz soda. It is designed for golden hour and rooftop evenings. Pomelo brings natural grapefruit bitterness and fruit to balance the rhubarb and keep the drink crisp.

Thai Spritz

Thai Spritz pairs Pomelo liqueur with fresh lime and ginger beer, finished with Thai basil, chili and a sesame rim. It is aromatic, slightly spicy and very refreshing, ideal for summer nights or festive gatherings when you want a citrus cocktail with more character.

Carmin

Carmin is a sparkling cocktail that combines Raspberry Cranberry Vodka, a dash of Pomelo and Prosecco in a glass rimmed with spiced sugar. Light, bubbly and aromatic, it works as a chic apéritif or a festive celebration drink.

Distilled by CIRKA

Built on Quebec terroir, distilled in Montréal

CIRKA was the first grain to bottle distillery in Québec, working directly with local producers and distilling everything on site in Montréal. Pomelo follows this same philosophy. The liqueur starts with a distilled base from Québec corn infused with botanicals, then layers in pomelo and grapefruit with a measured amount of cane sugar.

The inspiration comes from an ancient citrus fruit and the way it appears in celebrations, festivals and warm weather drinking. The execution is firmly Montréal. Pomelo is designed to slide into spritzes, Palomas, sangrias and punches, whether you are hosting on a terrasse, at the chalet or at home in the city.

Pomelo is lightly sweetened with ethically grown cane sugar. The flavour leans more toward natural tartness and bittersweet citrus, with just enough sweetness to carry the pomelo and grapefruit notes. It stays refreshing rather than sticky or heavy.

No. Pomelo was created to work in simple builds. With ice, soda or sparkling wine and a slice of citrus, you already have a complete drink. From there you can layer in gin, tequila, rhubarb syrup or ginger beer if you want something more complex.

Pomelo fits into spritzes, Palomas, sangria, sparkling apéritifs and winter punches. It appears in drinks like Solstice, La Ponce Sauvage, Thai Spritz and Carmin, and it also works in any cocktail that calls for grapefruit liqueur or a touch of citrus bitterness.

Yes. It is very good simply poured over ice, which is how many SAQ staff and reviewers enjoy it. You can also lengthen it with a splash of soda or sparkling wine if you prefer a longer, lighter serve.
