Ever wondered what it would feel like to float on a cloud? Meet the Midsummer cocktail — a silky, dreamy creation that blends bold Navy Strength Gin, herbal Strega, citrus, coconut, and the aromatic magic of kaffir lime leaf syrup. Finished with a dusting of nutmeg, it’s pure liquid sunshine.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Navy Strength Gin

  • 0.5 oz Strega Liqueur

  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 0.75 oz Kaffir Lime Leaf Syrup (recipe below)

  • 1 oz Coconut Milk

  • Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish


How to Make It

  1. In a shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients.

  2. Shake vigorously until well chilled and frothy.

  3. Double strain into a pre-chilled glass.

  4. Garnish with a dusting of freshly grated nutmeg.

  5. Sip and float away.


Kaffir Lime Leaf Syrup Recipe

  1. Boil 500 ml water with 5–6 kaffir lime leaves, removing stems to eliminate bitterness.

  2. Cover and let infuse for 10 minutes.

  3. Add 500 ml brown sugar and bring back to a gentle boil.

  4. Cool to room temperature, strain, and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 month.


Pro Tips

  • Shake hard: The coconut milk needs energy to emulsify, creating a cloudlike texture.

  • Chill the glass: Keeps the creamy texture refreshing instead of heavy.
