Thaï Spritz

 

Bright, spicy, and refreshingly aromatic, the Thai Spritz combines Pomelo liqueur, lime, and optional Lime Kefir bitters, topped with ginger beer for effervescence. A dash of Thai basil and a hint of chili create a uniquely exotic spritz perfect for summer evenings or festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Pomelo liqueur

  • 0.5 oz Fresh lime juice

  • 3 dashes Lime Kefir bitters (optional)

  • Ginger beer, to top

  • Thai basil leaves, dried chili pepper, and lime wheel for garnish

  • Sesame mix (see below)


Method

  1. In a glass filled with ice, combine Pomelo liqueur, lime juice, and bitters (if using).

  2. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.

  3. Garnish with a lime wheel, Thai basil leaf, and a dried chili pepper.

  4. Optionally, rim the glass with sesame mix or sprinkle lightly over the cocktail for extra flavor and texture.


Sesame Mix Recipe

  • 4 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

  • 2 tbsp cane sugar

  • 1/4 tsp dried chipotle

  1. Grind all ingredients finely.

  2. Store in a dry, airtight container.

  • Use a spicy or aromatic ginger beer for extra punch.

  • Adjust the number of chili peppers according to your spice tolerance.
